Braund Studios specializes in recording and filming music on location. We love making concert films and working with music in different locations outside of the studio.
Audio Recordings are made with dual high-quality 48 track recorders (always making a backup copy), high end preamps, and a wide selection of microphones. Video productions are approached with 4-8 cameras.
Clients & Artists include: Vice, Yamaha, Pitchfork, The New York Times, Eagles of Death Metal, El Ten Eleven, Jennifer Hudson, Sting, Courtney Love, Anat Cohen, Action Bronson
Locations include: Bowery Ballroom, Terminal 5, Royal French Consulate, Polish Consulate, 285 Kent, Pete's Candy Store, Yamaha Artist Salon, Meisel Gallery, The Jazz Gallery, The Jazz Standard, The Academy of Arts and Letters, 54 Below, Bric TV
The 'In Performance' series for The New York Times was produced on location by Erik Braund, with other Braund Studios team members. The audio is mixed in Studio 505, and the videos are edited in our edit suite, before final publication online.
